WANAGAMA is an educational forest managed by the UGM Faculty of Forestry. Its name comes from the Old Javanese word Wana which means forest, while Gama is an abbreviation of the university name.
Functionalities of the forest
Wanagama ecosystem is unique. A wide variety of topography, rock layers, soil types, hydrological systems, microclimates, plants, and animals are present there. Based on these potentials, Wanagama can function as
